Over 50 goals. Past the 50-point mark. Into the quarter-finals of the President Federation Cup. Harrison’s finesse finish and the aura-filled celebration that followed. Even BetKing, our sponsor, stepped up to unveil a mini sports complex. That was the past week. A big one.

Now it’s back to the pitch.

Matchday 34. The season’s almost at the end and this is where it counts. One last push to make sure all the hard work, all the fight, finishes the way it should, on a high.

We’re away this Sunday against El Kanemi Warriors at the El Kanemi Stadium. Let’s go again.

The First Leg in Lagos

We were on top the last time we met on Matchday 14 at the Arena. Shola Adelani opened it up, Ayomide Cole wrapped it up. Solid win, no fuss.

Now it’s their turn to host. Different place, different day… but we’ve been here before. And if we play our game, there’s no reason we can’t walk out of El Kanemi with the same result, which is a win.

Team News

Freedom Marvelous, Ganiyu Adio, and Toyeeb Ajeyigbe remain out with injuries.

But there’s good news. Left-back Harrison Austin is back in the squad after missing the last match through suspension for yellow card accumulation.

Facing El Kanemi Warriors

There’s plenty to be positive about heading into this one, but we’re keeping our feet on the ground.

El Kanemi Warriors haven’t picked up a win since Matchday 27, back on March 3rd. Four defeats and two draws in that stretch. No doubt they’ll be looking to turn things around, maybe even get one back after our win earlier in the season.

But we’ve got our own goals. The milestones we’ve hit, the points we’ve earned, they only mean something if we finish strong.

We’re not focused on them. We’re focused on us. And for us, it’s all about getting a win.
