After our hard-fought win against Plateau United at the Arena last weekend, we head up north this weekend to Katsina, as we play on a weekday, Monday evening.

We will be up against Kano Pillars in a matchday 14 fixture. It’s another chance to build on our recent run and keep the momentum moving in the right direction.

Facing Kano Pillars

Our first game in our debut season last year was against Kano Pillars. As newcomers then, that 3–0 defeat felt like a message, a firm “welcome to the league of men.” It was different, and it reminded us quickly that this wasn’t the second tier anymore.

That was matchday One. By matchday 38, when we finished fourth and fell just a point short of CAF continental football, our mettle and resilience had already been clearly established.

Interestingly, we also faced Pillars in Katsina last season, and we’re ready to produce a better performance this time.

With the form we’re in, there’s no better time to get past them. Kano Pillars have six points so far and sit at the bottom of the table

We sit at the top of the table, but we’re not getting carried away. Our focus remains on winning as many games as possible and consistently delivering positive results.

With confidence on our side and the team’s work, fight, and spirit driving us, there’s every reason to believe we can overcome Pillars.
