Last weekend at the Arena, we let two points slip in a frustrating draw against Bayelsa United. It was a tough one to take, but that’s football. It is rarely straightforward and always demanding.

There’s no time to dwell on it. The focus shifts quickly, and another challenge awaits.

On Sunday, we are away in Benin City to face Bendel Insurance on Matchday 28 at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium as we look to return to winning ways.

It will be our first fixture of March. February delivered two wins, one draw, and one defeat. A month of lessons, resilience, and progress.

Now, a new month. Another opportunity.

Facing Bendel Insurance

Remember our Matchday 8 meeting with Bendel Insurance at the Arena on October 12, 2025?

A beautifully worked set piece, sharp link-up play between Musa Maliq and Folarin Temitope, and we were ahead inside eight minutes. Folarin, making his first start of the season, marked it in style. His finish proved decisive, as it gave us the win.

This time, we’ll be aiming to get the better of them again.

There’s an interesting pattern too. Last season, our victory over Insurance at the Arena came in October. The defeat in Benin happened in February.

Tomorrow’s clash is in March. Maybe that tilts the script in our favour 😀😀😀.
