We fell to a 2-1 defeat to Kano Pillars in our match day fourteen encounter at the Mohammad Dikko Stadium, Katsina in the Nigeria Premier Football League.
LINE-UP: Michael Atata; Junior Christian, Alfred Odinaka, Gift Udoh, Waliu Ojetoye; Dagogo Ibifubara, Tomisin Adebayo, Folarin Temitope, Joseph Arumala, Naheem Odugbemi & Goodluck Anuba.
An unchanged starting eleven for the 4th game in a row as we began the same way throughout November so far. It wasn’t to be the start we wanted as the home side went in front in just the 3rd minute.
Before the half hour mark, the lead doubled as a long range strike bounced wickedly in front of Michael Atata before getting past him.
We kept the fight alive, a few offside calls showing how close we were and then Joseph Arumala struck the bar with a header off a freekick from Folarin Temitope.
It was the same combination that brought the first goal minutes later as Folarin sent a tasty cross into the box from a corner and Joseph Arumala met it cleanly at the back post to halve the deficit as we went into the break.
We came out with same intensity in the second half. A few changes here and there with Uche Onyemaechi and Tosin Oyedokun coming on for Goodluck Anuba and Tomisin Adebayo.
Later on, Alfred Odinaka was forced off after a challenge as Emmanuel Matthais came on. All of the pressure wasn’t enough as we fell to a defeat.
