We returned to winning ways with a commanding 3-0 victory over Kano Pillars at the Arena on MD34 of the Nigeria Premier Football League 25/26 season.
LINE-UP: Michael Atata; Daniel Idoko, Aliu Salawudeen, Olanrewaju Molade, Gift Udoh; Rasheed Owolabi, Aderemi Adeoye, Tosin Oyedokun, Farouk Salami, Joseph Arumala, Abayomi Ayodeji.
The visitors took charge of the opening quarter with decent exchanges but no clear chance to trouble Michael Atata in goal. The lads however got into their stride afterwards and struck on the stroke of the half hour mark as Joseph Arumala brought down an intelligent pass from Abayomi Ayodeji and fired past the keeper. It was his 12th league goal of the season.
We dominated the rest of the half and took the lead into the second half where we increased the advantage. Tosin Oyedokun was found in the box by substitute Tomiwa Awojobi and the midfield finished in the most calm manner ever.
At the closing stages, Abayomi Ayodeji continued his hot form at home. An exchange with substitute Folarin Temitope set him free in the box as he drove past one defender and finished low into the corner. His third goal of the season, with all goals coming in back to back home games.
